2019 has been one of the boldest and best years of my life. It was this year that my wife, son, and I decided to pack all our things and relocate to Malaga, which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Spain! Since we moved, we've had the time of our lives!
Malaga is found in the Andalusian region of Spain and although most Europeans consider the climate in this city hot, this may be the climate that feels most familiar to me. See, although I am a Spanish citizen, I've spent most of my life in the Philippines, a sunny and beautiful archipelago where English is one of the national languages. Believe it or not, the sun shines brighter in Southeast Asia, where there are only 2 seasons - hot and hotter. So when I first arrived in Malaga, it felt warm, but it was a warmth that I loved right away.
The difference, however, is that Malaga prides itself being on the Costa del Sol, which means the beaches are very easily accessible by foot. When my family and I found a flat, we were surprised to find that the beach was a mere 15-minute walk from La Malagueta, a beach with sun, fun, and lots of great activities. Another difference is that there are not as many English speakers as there are in Manila, where I was prior to moving to Spain.
The Spanish language is beautiful and very widely used throughout the world, but the truth is, a good grasp of the English language opens doors to many opportunities in many different fields, whether in business, hospitality, tech, and others, as it is the main language of some of the wealthiest countries in the world. This is where I wish to help every Malagueño and fellow Spaniard that is willing and able to learn. My goal is not just to enjoy sunny Malaga, but to help expand the number of opportunities for others.
This is where Oxinity comes in. Through this proven and effective platform, I am readily able to plan, assess, and teach English to people of different ages and stages of life, either in 1on1 sessions, online classes or in group sessions. So let me take part in your journey of learning and expansion, whether or not you are in sunny Malaga! If you are from here, however, I would love to meet you and take part in your journey in person.
2019 just keeps getting better and better, and if you learn through me, so will your English! Cheers!
