Sí, has acertado. Es «podría haber».
Te sorprenderá lo a menudo que utilizamos «could have» en nuestras conversaciones cotidianas.

‘Could have' es el pasado modal de can, el modal de Capacidad. Se utiliza para recordar ocasiones pasadas, como oportunidades perdidas, arrepentimientos pasados o situaciones imaginarias que no se produjeron.

2-Arrepentimiento del pasado- Puede que te arrepientas de no haber aprovechado una oferta de trabajo que podría haberte llevado a progresar profesionalmente o a realizarte en un sector diferente.

Puedes combinar could have + participio pasado con frases condicionales (if + had + participio pasado). La 3ª frase condicional expresa el pasado irreal.

En «could have», «could» actúa como verbo modal y «have» siempre va seguido del participio pasado del verbo principal. Esta combinación crea el pretérito perfecto.
