English Classes Designed for Hairdressing Salons

Communicate and attract all clients with confidence with group classes specific for hairdressers.

Becoming more and more international, Barcelona’s Hair and Beauty salons are more frequently visited by people from all over the world that use English to communicate when visiting, studying or living in other countries. These clients are often in need of a team who can communicate in English to a level that takes the fear away from the process. I also noticed it is much quicker and less stressful for the stylist if they can understand the needs and express their intentions with the customer. It also attracts a larger market of clientele that are searching for an English speaking Hair Salon.

I specialise in teaching English in hair and beauty salons.Together with a background in business management. I have fifteen years experience working in the hairdressing industry and  ten years training NVQ students in practical and theory based learning within the salon. Having worked with top brands and with modern hairdressing techniques and also having experience working in a Spanish hair salon, I have a firm knowledge of the Industry.

I opened and ran my own salon In England and have experience of employment and administrative procedures in English. I retrained to become TEFL qualified English teacher and I am able to adapt teaching English to the needs of the salon to benefit the team and clientele and working with assistants and stylists to salon owners.

English for hairstylists covers everything from relevant, specific vocabulary, phrase and conversation in english. I can do this in groups or one to one and use specific activities designed for salons and their team. I also offer translation of offers and services, product ingredients and other information and maintain a strict confidentiality policy.

My classes cover:

•    Greetings and introductions
•    Areas of the salon tools and equipment
•    Services and products
•    Bookings and reception
•    Consultation and contraindications
•    Conversation
•    Money and retail services
•    Marketing and offers

Stylists can put their English into practice immediately in the salon and have an application provided so that they can access their materials whenever necessary, at home or at work. Classes can fit into a work schedule and can be carried out in or out of the salon.
