Profesora Nativa de Inglés / Native British English teacher in Madrid

Hi.  My name is Leanne.  I am a TEFL qualified native British English teacher from Manchester, England (UK).  I am a qualified human resources professional with over 12 years’ experience of working in human resources.  I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel and Development.

I have most recently worked as a human resources manager for a large national UK law firm for 4 years. This role involved advising lawyers and managers on employment issues, including employee relations, resourcing / recruitment, training / development and reward management.  I also have experience of working in other sectors including real estate, logistics / distribution, retail, facilities management, insurance and business consultancy.

As a native British English teacher, my main aim is to help you to improve your speaking and to communicate in with confidence in English. We will do this by practicing your speaking in a structured yet engaging way.  I enjoy teaching learners of all levels from complete beginners to more advanced students who would like to perfect their English and work on their accuracy and fluency.  My human resources background means I can work with you on business-related topics or projects to help you to interact professionally in English.

Being a native British English teacher I will help you with your pronunciation. Having studied Spanish myself I understand the frustrations of learning a second language as well as the common mistakes made in English by native Spanish speakers.

I am patient, open-minded and motivated by inspiring the progression of every student.  I am happy to tailor lessons based on the individual needs of students, whether this is business English, exam revision, conversational practice / improving fluency or grammar and vocabulary.

First class is free.
